Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life
Support) - NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred Must-Have: -
COVID vaccination/boosters preferred - EDAP 1 and 2 - BVP (MAB)
training Job Description: - Deliver safe patient care using the
nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and
evaluation. - Provide direct patient care within the scope of
practice. - Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities
of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of
professional nursing care in Telemetry. - Be directly responsible
and accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency
Department. - Communicate with physicians regarding changes in the
patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic
studies and symptomatology. - Respond quickly and accurately to
changes in patient conditions and responses to treatment. -
Maintain knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting procedures
for child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and hospital social
workers. - Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
