The Wistar Institute has an opening for a Bioinformatics Technician
to join the Bioinformatics Shared Resource (Core) of our
NCI-designated Cancer Center. The Bioinformatics Core provides
Wistar investigators with expertise in computational analyses of
biomedical research data as well as database management and
software applications support.
The Bioinformatics Technician will:
Master's degree in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Biomedical
Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience
required. Candidates should have prior experience in programming
languages (e.g. Python or Perl), experience in R or Matlab
statistical environments, and experience in Bioinformatics data
analysis of high throughput data (next generation sequencing,
microarrays, proteomics).
